But they're mostly focused on right fielders, which means their options essentially come down to Byrd, Alex Rios, Dayan Viciedo, Chris Denorfia and possibly Zobrist. But the White Sox would want an extra return to deal Viciedo in the division. And it's doubtful the Royals would see Denorfia's one homer and .612 OPS as much of an upgrade. So other clubs expect the Royals to zero in on Byrd and Rios in the next week and make the best deal they can make

Byrd's contract allows him to block trades to Seattle, Kansas City, Toronto and Tampa Bay, CSN Philly reports.

Byrd indicated that he may be willing to waive the no-trade clause if the Phillies asked him to. Seattle is rumored to be interested in Byrd, who is owed $8 million next season and has a 2016 option that kicks in with 600 plate appearances in 2015.

The minors did wonders for Moose. Maybe Billy will get his crap together in Omaha.

62.5% of the way through the season and teams are still making trades. That's the annoying thing about baseball. What if you play over 50% of the season with a good team then get traded to a bad one? Shouldn't you get some credit for whatever that good team does the rest of the way?

No. Cause you're making millions of dollars and if you're shitty and getting traded you deserve it. The good ones get traded to the good teams. It works itself out.
