I did see he has the 3rd highest run support for an AL pitcher this year, which is pretty much the exact opposite of last year.  Sorry I don't keep the stats on the read for times like these.  I know he hasn't been great but I was just asking.

Also, CF3, next pak, we need to talk baseball.

name the time and place bud.

Assuming this was a good intention post, because mine was, next time I am in KC I will hit you up.  I know a fair amount about baseball and I get no valuable convos with my buds here.

good intentions. sounds good.

I know but I want us to upgrade RF and move Cain back over.

hey, let's just move gordon to 2nd base too.

oh knock it off sys you know we have to improve this lineup, and they're going down with the Hosmer ship so RF is our only hope.

I suggested moving Aoki earlier tonight. The guy has been a wash this season and maybe we can package him with someone else to add some pop to this club.

If we don't sweep or win 2 of 3 against the Angels, some changes need to be in the offing, especially considering some of the teams on the July schedule.

i mean goddamn, c3.  the problem is hosmer and shields (currently).  don't make dyson pay for hosmer's stupidity (that'd suck and be mean).

I live in reality. They're not gonna sit Hosmer in a billion years. Might be mean but the Royals making me buy and and then stomping on my nuts in consecutive seasons feels mean from where I sit*. I'm trying to think of where they can realistically improve. Dyson would be extremely valuable as a 4th OF and would still play plenty.

people are still walking around acting like it's this year or never.  we shouldn't sell out whatever future we have (do they still have any prospects?) under that premise.  duffy and ventura give us at least the hope of solid, cheap pitching for multiple years.  if zimmer is still alive and can do the same thing, i'd rather sell whatever we have that's worth anything and be ok to good for days, son.

It's also our 2 HR DH. I've had Billy's back forever, but it's now ridiculous. Lower SLG than all starters except Infante and Hosmer. Negative WAR. Woof. By the stats, Giovotella would be a better DH option than Billy.

I wouldn't worry sys. I don't see them trading for a RF and Aoki has been outed as a crappy piece of loser so you can google image vacuum cleaners all summer. I'd love Dyson to be a hero for us this year.

The Royals just went 11-10 against four teams who would be in the playoffs if the season ended today, and the Yankees, who are 2.5 back in the East and 1.5 back in the WC. It just happened in a peculiar fashion. In between KC swept two teams they should handle in Cleveland and Chicago. Total record 16-10 for the stretch (that's approximately 100-62 over a full season FWIW).

3 tough games against the Angels and then the Royals get a soft nine-game stretch against Minnesota, Cleveland and Tampa before heading into the break with four at home vs Detroit. No reason not to expect go 9-7 or 10-6 in that stretch.

50-44 sounds pretty good heading into the ASG. That's 86-76 over a full season, and what I thought it would take for the Royals to grab a WC spot heading into the season. The current standings paced out have 87-75 nabbing the final WC spot.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

And, contra my last post, if our guys who have sucked so far "regress" in the second half to get their season totals back in line with reasonable projections, then our offense should be markedly better down the stretch.

Cliff's notes of my previous post:

There is going to be a lot of  :royals::ohno::angry::crossfingers::Woot::bang:, and  :D for the remainder of the season.

But hey, just kick back, :bwpopcorn: and watch it all unfold.

Moving Aoki is certainly not selling out the future. He is a placeholder who really hasn't panned out and not a long-term guy. He could bring some value if packaged properly. That said, there isn't a solid pitcher on the roster right now I'd want to move. If Shields makes it known that he won't stay after this year, he's a definite possibility, however.

Here's the deal boys, our pitching staff is sick, but all our $ is in a guy who is pitching like a 3rd tier guy. Our offense has had moments, but we have no $ to get a big bat cause it's rapped up in our pitching staff and our " everyday franchise players that came up from the system" are going average at best. It only goes so far. We're at our stretching point. Trade James now and see what we can get offensively. We have live young arms with Zimmer coming up in the future. :dropsmic:

Many teams (sub .500) will want him.  Cubs, for example, may throw a lot of $ at him.
