Can some explain to the reason for starting Maxwell?  I kind of understand the Moose thing....not really, but I get the general idea. But why is Dyson sitting?

Seems like 3 times in the 5 games or so, we have sat two starters for reasons unknown. Brandon Flowers!

Maxwell is significantly better against lefties. Especially when it comes to OBP.
OK thanks.

Good for you Hosmer. Jfc billy.

i'd rather see him strike out than get a hit swinging at that pitch.

Granted

Even if we don't score, at least we made Kershaw throw some pitches this inning.

Why does he keep calling him donny? I've never heard Don Mattingly called anything but that.

Ryan and Rex really have a boner for Kershaw, I'm all for giving credit where it's due, but have some rough ridin' self respect guys.

I've watched both games so far while listening to the dodgers crew. They are really high on Hosmer

he's on pace for a CG.

how many pitches does he usually get to throw?

Same as most pitchers, if he's going good then he'll be allowed to throw between 110-120 if he has a chance to get a complete game shutout.

Royals did a really good job making him throw some pitches the last three innings. That's encouraging. Good teams weather the storm and get to the bullpen, the Royals may actually be a good team this year.

Mattingly probably figures the game is too close to lift him. Let's hope he doesn't come out in the 9th, though.
