I mean, if you win 2/3 of a 162 games that's still 108 wins. So winning basically 2/3 of your last 100 games is "really good" territory. Not really weird at all. Loses happen, just win series.

i believe it's mostly because of the massive variation you get among your starting pitchers

i would prefer that the royals do not have to compete with the white sox for the central.  if they don't run away with it, they should be competing with detroit or cleveland, imo.  in that sense, the start of this season has been disappointing.
