guys - he didn't show up. after weeks and weeks of on-air promotion. there were dozens and dozens or weird royals fans in dreadlock wigs wanting to take a selfie with him. they were very adamant about this being a "non-autograph" appearance. 610 was broadcasting live from the parking lot of this BBQ place I've never heard of. It's perfect.

There are some weird fans in the Royals community. So Sunday was a bobblehead day, and I took my son, and got there to the gate at noon for a 1:10 first pitch, and the 10,000 bobbleheads were gone. I asked "When did they run out?" Guy told me "oh they were lining up at 8 AM. gates opened at 1030, bobbleheads were gone by 1045."

I don't think I want a bobblehead THAT bad

I just learned that the royals also now sell and early access thing that let's you into the stadium early and first shot at giveaways...

It's one of the stadium tour options... 10 bucks gets you in at 430pm and highlights include watching BP. Sounds incredibly dumb

I don't care on like, T-Shirt Tuesday, when they give away cheap t-shirts with pepsi logos on the arm or whatever. But I told lil' CF3 "hey bud! you and dad are going to the ball game and they're giving away bobbleheads!"

That does stink. We went on Ventura bubblehead night and they still had some until like an hour before gametime. It's tough to predict which games draw the insane giveaway crowds.

Last summer I went to get an Alex Gordon bobble head as a gift for a friend. I was too late for the giveaway. I went in to the Royals store and they were selling them for iirc $78. I wasn't going to pay a bunch for something they were giving away. One of my staff told me today that if you spend $30 in there they will give it to you free. I am not a cheap ass but don't know if I would have just spent $30 to get something they were earlier giving away free.
