I really needed last nights win. 2 in a row would be nice.

2012-2013, Rios at 31 and 32 put up .291 average, 86 RBIs, 62 Xbase hits, .475 Slug (ave season totals for those 2 years)

Not sure what we get from him the rest of this year, but those numbers are pretty good

he was really good in 2012.  adequate in 2013.  combining the years makes him look fairly good in both years, but to look at it another way, 2012 is the only good year he's had since he turned 30.  it'd be great if he had another 2012, but it's probably not the most likely outcome.

Oh man Tigers lost!!!! :royals:

They are 5-12 last 17
They have only scored 18 runs last 9 GMs
Starting with the Guts win we had at Det, they have scored 2 or fewer 14 of 24 games

This is how I picture posse.

So this is how bad the Tigers have been playing...

Their starting pitching was lights out early.  10 of their first 14 starts they gave up 0 or 1 ERs.    Since then, in their 41 starts, they are putting up a 5.24 ERA.

They came into KC on April 30.   Since then they are only ave 3.4 runs/game, and they have scored 2 runs or fewer in 18 of 33 games. That is 55% of the time in the past 5 weeks.   For comparison we have recently struggled scoring and still only have 2 or fewer runs 30% of our games this season

What if we go on a stretch similar to the one we just went on, only the stretch consists of a majority of games won instead of a majority of games lost? What if that rough ridin' happens?

If that happened an appropriate thing to say to your friend would be, "man, what a rollercoaster ride this season has been huh?".
