Sipping down my last drink of a long night. Reflecting on what a glorious season this has been. The Royals are relevant again. Love this team and loved this season. Can't wait for next year.   :royals:

These guys made memories.

They'll be back.

This isn't a flash in the pan.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I guess i never really had a team get this far only to come up short...however this hurts worse than i thought i would. Made that great run...only to fall just short and be a footnote. This one stings. I'll reminisce and be happy in a couple days...but right now....ouch.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

Man, today isn't as fun as yesterday. What a fun team. I'm just sad this morning. One pitcher can win a WS almost completely by himself.

Man, that was a fun ride. I'd be more upset about coming up short if this was a one time thing, but the core of this team is under contract for the next few years.  :driving:

Can somebody link me to a post or to a site where it lists the duration of each of the player's contract?

The team needs to get better this offseason to have much of a chance at getting back to the playoffs. Need to replace Shields with a better pitcher.

Thoughts on buying a Royals World Series hoodie even though they didn't win the world series.  Will I get made fun of outside of Kansas?

Do people buy clothes for games they lost?

Obviously they can't just hold pat with what they have. Butler, Shields, and Hoch leaving frees up a lot of payroll to work with in the offseason.

We need a starter and a big bat in the middle of the lineup, but that's about it. GMDM turned out to be right about several of the moves he made. Going back to the Greinke for LoCain and Escobar trade 4 years ago nearly every acquisition he's made has worked out for the better.

The interesting move will be if they decide to pay Davis or not. $7M is a lot for a set up man, albeit the best set up man in baseball.

2-25, yes. But they had far and away the best player in the series.

this probably pisses me off the most. we make it to the WS for the first time in my life and we run into the greatest WS pitcher of all time.  :'bye cruel world:
