I mean, Escobar hit a HR last night and a game winning double today. How awesome is that.

Dayton really fleeced the Dodgers on that one.

Real discussion point for HBBIQ types: will we be at a disadvantage sweeping the Os when it takes SF 6 or 7 to put away StL? I know we will be rested and have our rotation set but is the rusty vs the in routine team with WS experience talking point going to come to fruition?

Hey guys, I saw on ESPN that no team to go up 2-0 in the LSC (that's A and N both) has ever NOT advanced to the World Series (since '85, in which they made it a 7 game series). I mean, I know that's a lot of qualifiers, BUT HOW EXCITING!!!!

i don't think that's accurate.  i think it's maybe no team to go up 2-0 on the road.

Royals started 0-2 in 85, on the road.

World series we lost 1st 2 at home, LCS we lost 1st 2 in Toronto. And lets not get ahead of ourselves. In 2004 the narrative over and over was no team has ever gone down 3-0 and come back to win a 7 game series in baseball, and the Red Sox did it. Just because something hasn't happened, doesn't mean it can't or it won't. We are in great shape, but they have serious bats, and we have Guts/Vargas back to back. 2-2 is not at all inconceivable. I'm hoping Ned has a super fast trigger to get either of them out if they are in trouble and has Duff man ready to save the day if needed.

OMG this quote:
Quote
What shred of evidence have any of us seen that would indicate he is wrong? Seriously? Unless you score 10 runs on one of their starters, what chance do you have? They roll out one cyborg after another from the pen. Their 9 hitter is better than most teams' 5 hitter. Nothing but speed all over the place. They decide they need to score in an inning and like magic, they score. We have not had the lead once. How many innings have we gotten them 1-2-3? One inning? They have zero injured players.

I love our guys and I am so appreciative of the season they had, but I have never seen an opponent where I literally feel powerless watching.

Ohhhhh ohhh ohh oh oh & 2

I love this.

Our fans mocking it to the point you could hear it on tv and radio was an EMAW level troll job at an opponents park. It was pretty great. I hope they where yelling we won't stop at fans streaming to the exit before the game was over.

Doesn't look promising SD, however obviously God loves this team and if he rains out the game he has a reason. Like our pen needs a day of rest or something.

If the game gets rained out, we get Shields in game 4, right?

The tickets are for ALCS Home Game 1, 2, or 3. If Monday rains out, then Tuesday will be ALCS home game 1.

Oreo's fans are the worst.  Worse than ISU.  The level of Butthurt is out of this rough ridin' world.

Every time I hear the Let's go Royals chant I see the kid that came into station with metalhead last Saturday night.... and it makes me smile.

The new Nick Ward or Meigecat? The new Nick Ward was the kid who almost got thrown out for standing on the table.

Part of the draw with following a team is being paid back with moments like this, and it makes a lot more sense to enjoy the ride than try to push some flimsy explanation.
