Sorry to be mean. They would under almost no circumstances play a doubleheader, so I have no idea why you would be pretty sure that they would.

As the 2014 American League Championship Series comes to Kauffman Stadium, we would like to provide you details for the ALCS games on Monday, October 13th, Tuesday, October 14th and the potential game on Wednesday, October 15th.

TICKET/GATE INFORMATION

Championship Series Game 3- Monday, October 13th @ 7:07 PM CT

•      Please use ticket marked - ALCS HOME GAME 1
•      Stadium gates will open at 5:00pm CT (2 hours prior to game time)
•      Parking gates will open at 2:00pm CT (5 hours prior to game time)

Championship Series Game 4- Tuesday, October 14th @ 7:07 pm CT

•      Please use ticket marked - ALCS HOME GAME 2
•      Stadium gates will open at 5:00pm CT (2 hours prior to game time)
•      Parking gates will open at 2:00pm CT (5 hours prior to game time)

Championship Series Game 5*- Wednesday, October 15th @ 3:07 pm CT

POLICIES

•      GUESTS ARRIVING WITHOUT THE CORRECT GAME TICKETS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO KAUFFMAN STADIUM. TICKETS CANNOT BE REPRINTED OR REPLACED.

PARKING

Parking is $25 for cars and motorcycles, $30 for oversized vehicles and $35 for buses/RVs. An oversized vehicle is any vehicle that takes up more than one parking space. Day of game parking is CASH ONLY. No reserved or premium parking passes will be sold at the tollbooths for the ALCS.

BALLPARK ENTRY

All entry policies from the regular season including bag size and prohibited items will remain the same for 2014 Postseason home games.

WILL CALL

If your tickets are at Will Call, please allow yourself enough time prior to the game to pick them up. Will Call will be located at the Gate C Box Office. The Will Call windows open at 2.5 hours before game time on game days. The Royals Ticket Office will not accept any third party will call drop offs for the Postseason. Please make other delivery arrangements in advance or use your My Royals Tickets account to transfer the tickets electronically.

GAMEDAY ASSISTANCE

Guests requiring assistance on either gameday may call the Royals Gameday Assistance Hotline at (816) 504-4040, option 5, beginning at 11 a.m. until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game for questions or assistance for Sunday's game and beginning at 9 a.m. until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game for Monday's potential game. Guests may also visit either Guest Services Office behind home plate on the plaza and view levels for assistance during the game. Both offices are available at gate opening and close approximately 15 minutes after game ending.

Part of the draw with following a team is being paid back with moments like this, and it makes a lot more sense to enjoy the ride than try to push some flimsy explanation.

After all, this is a playoff run to within smelling distance of the World Series that’s included Butler stealing a base, Moustakas laying down a bunt single, the tying run in extra-innings scoring on a 40-foot chopper, and a 21-year-old who pitched against Dartmouth this spring getting key outs.

Love this, and he didn't even mention the star closer arriving at the stadium midway through the game, being hassled by security, and then pitching a gem to close it out.
