Drying your jeans
« on: February 10, 2010, 08:17:23 PM »
Dryer or air dry or drycleaning??

Had an argument with a dude. He said drying jeans in the dryer doesn't shrink them. I called bullshit...which is why i hang them up. what say you?

It shrinks them but they stretch back out.  I dry my jeans that are too loose and hang the ones that are too tight :dunno:

Drying them makes them wear out faster and fade, imo.   I spend a lot of money on jeans so I at first I always want them to last a while but then after a few months I become ashamed of myself and just start drying them.

Yeah, but having to wear poor fitting jeans is even worse than that is terrific

QFT...partly the reason i try to keep them fitting the same. Only bad part about hanging them inside is they get pretty hard, but that goes away after 5 minutes.

Also, is there a better feeling in the world than putting on underwear, jeans and a shirt straight out of the dryer...

This was two dudes arguing? :embarrassed:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

I dry mine on low heat, and do not let them completely dry in the dryer.  They will be a bit damp and I let them air dry to finish.

Jeans are not very comfortable and look like crap on most people.  Stop wearing them and save yourselves the apparent headache of washing them.

When I'm rich I'm moving somewhere where I can wear shorts 365 days a year.  Can we all agree that shorts dominate pants?

90% of the time, for sure.

I hate when I get shorts that are just a shade too long, or a shade too short.

You can try them on first.  Also, they don't shorten or lengthen in the dryer so you can dry the eff out of them.

QFT.  JFC, people.  You are college educated (or presumably soon to be) men.  Dress like it.

And then you can get some jean shorts, best of both worlds.

I was more concerned with aesthetics.  If hot models want to wear hot looking jeans, I'm totally fine with it.
