Pathetic, that your university probably paid tens of thousands of dollars for Sketch Up images.

Someone just a few posts before yours called us 'the two most fiscally responsible universities' in the conference. Glad we are getting some variety on this thread.

why is that pathetic?  SketchUp is becoming a very popular and invaluable tool for architectural rendering.

I typically LOVE a good rendering, but those are very cartoony looking.  I prefer my renderings to have a more sketchy/airbrushy type of feel.

I'm a planning major and would agree with that, but a cartoon is better than nothing.

Keep the Lite Brite scoreboard.

That was one of the coolest, most amazing things I've ever seen.

Haverhill, quit ducking the issue.  Where do you stand on Lite Brite?

Planning major?

You're majoring in planning on how to make plans? You actually pay college tuition for that crap? You should have saved your money and gone to a cheaper school with a better athletic department...Northern Iowa :AA:

Urban planning being taught in Ames?  Kinda like taking a class on tolerance of your fellow man being taught in Lawrence.

Our suite and club sections are between the lower level and the upper decks, so the Press Box is used for press only.

Looks really nice, Haverhill.  Do you think Iowa State fans will fill the 62,000 seats?

If the price is right, ticket prices will probably be lowered quite a bit.

"I'm so proud to be your football coach" sells a few tickets, but I have a feeling it'll be pretty cheap to get a ticket to a football game in Ames once the endzone is bowled in, except for the Iowa and Nebraska games which are usually more expensive.

I've been to all the North stadiums and most of the South ones (not Tech, OU, or aTm).  The only stadiums worse than Jack Trice are the stadiums in Waco and Lowrents.  The facilities in both of those places are embarrassingly bad, JT Stadium has a distinct advantage in that department.

The cartoon drawing actually makes Jack Trice Stadium way nicer than it actually is (and yes, I realize the drawing includes the expansion).

When were you last at Jack Trice? The concourses were renovated between 2007-2009, and suites were added on the west side below the upper deck in 2007. There are many more restrooms and concession stands in the stadium, and many aesthetic changes to improve the overall Gameday experience at Jack Trice Stadium.

I think it was 2007.  I said you had better facilities than those other two, yeesh.  The only gameday experience I noticed was the fire truck parade or whatev that was.

You didn't care for the firetruck entrance? Pfft

I drove by KU's Memorial Stadium yesterday, and its gotta be the most hidden stadium in all of college football. We were randomly driving through a neighborhood and just happened to go past it. I guess thats a good thing. The fact that all athletic facilities are south of campus except the football program kinda makes me wonder if they'd rather just get rid of football all-together.

I love KU's football stadium.  The fact that it isn't in a giant parking lot surrounded by pig sh*t is a huge plus as well.
