Why does Hartman return punts? Only thing I can guess is we have no one else we trust to actually catch the ball. Why not Harper, Thompson or Powell?

Yeah couldn't believe Thompson wasn't back there.  And if not him, I would think Broderick Smith would do a good job.  :dunno:

I say give Banks a look back there.  Why not?   :dunno:

Who, in the last year, has done more to tarnish the good name of KSU Wildcats athletics:  Tysyn Hartman or Chris Merriewether?

I think Merriewether, but Tysyn sure hasn't done that much better.  I would be all for coach Snyder giving him five across the eyes during a time out.

You might as well have shined a bat-signal in the sky with the opcat logo.

Quote from: Stacie Owens' Comments in the Collegian article about Frank hitting Merriewether
To Grant Guggisberg, Wichita Joe, and anyone else who has the displeasure of reading this article- It IS a big deal with there is ANY kind of contact made between a player and a coach, regardless of magnitude of the "hit". Such contact should NEVER, I repeat, NEVER occur. The loss of the game had NOTHING to do with the turnover that Merriewether made, which Frank Martin apparantly warranted as "severe" enough to "hit" him for it. In fact, had ALL of the team been doing their job throughout the duration of the game, we would have easily beat Missouri. Every loss OR win is a team effort- the blame or glory is NEVER attributed to ONE player. Grant- you clearly did NOT watch the game in it's entirety. Merriewether played his BEST offensive game, hands down. He was successful with shots that his teammates were NOT. Additionally, to say that Merriewether deserved to be "hit" by Frank because he did not maintain eye contact is the furthest possible thing from the truth. If you were a regular viewer of the basketball games, and if you knew ANYTHING about Chris Merriewether and his character whatsoever, you would know that his is one of the FEW that actually do, without fail and on EVERY occassion, maintain FULL eye contact with Frank, even when Frank is screaming obscenities and verbally tearing him down. This article is nothing short of appalling and had no business being printed. I suggest, as a sports reporter, that you, Grant, get your "stats" STRAIGHT before you make a complete fool of yourself and publish such nonsense and untruth. And, for the record, if anyone wants to know how I know the TRUTH of it all, it's because I am Chris Merriewether's very disgusted, very disturbed, very irrate, and very CONNECTED fiance.

than have to be subjected to another game of watching Tysyn Hartman disgrace the game of college football.

You're right, ma'am.  I probably left after that one drive when OSU was actually trying to score and Tysyn proceeded to get clownsuited on four consecutive plays, two in pass coverage and two in run support.

There's only so much horrible football by horrible players one can take and this cat fan had reached his limit.

Might as well make about about 9 or ten cardboard cutouts of defensive players, set them out there and hope for the best, basically no difference than what we have right now :lynchmob:

Just run the defense out there without calling any formations.  The opposing QB and/or coaches will prolly burn a few timeouts since they don't understand what they are seeing.  Might actually luck out and get a few plays.

You must be confusing Hartman with Zimmerman.

Agreed. CM cost us a Final 4.

Pullen and Clemente cost us the Final 4. Deal with it.

I watched "Deuce" grab Hunter at the LOS around the shoulder pads...and get dragged 9 yards upfield. It was pathetic.

Nope.  It was Hartman.

crap is still crap, but on this day Hartman was more of the explosive diarrhea as opposed to the solid stool variety.

cac is still cac, but on this day Hartman was more of the explosive diarrhea as opposed to the solid stool variety.

That post was directed at Stacie Owen, who said that Hartman was successful with tackles. Zimmerman made some nice plays against the run. Hartman was just as shitty as he always is.

I think Stacie might be Tysyn's mom.

He made the shitty Chiefs.  Someone at Chiefs camp must have taught him how to tackle.  Tysyn making the Chiefs still doesn't change the fact that he still holds the record for most times jogging 3 yards behind someone who just beat him for a TD.  To be fair to Tysyn, maybe's fully recovered from his blown out knee.  However, that doesn't change the fact that I'd still rather play a man down than have 2010 Tysyn diving at feet.

recruiting was never his weak point, hell he even recruited a future NFL Head coach and a Future SEC head coach to be his assistants....

Sometimes Tysyn Hartman gets in the way of the other guy so another player can help him tackle  :dunno:
