What do you think "ironic" means?KSU didn't try and tell everyone MM sold out or was full either. ku needs to quit releasing bogus attendance figures when the game is photographed/televised. It is strikingly obvious that there wasn't even 30k there, announcing attendance at 44k just confirms what has been known forever. ku attendance figures are based on tickets sold + + discounted + given away + scattered out the window + dropped off at every business in a 50 mile radius.

I was at the game and tailgated all day long... Lawrence had a bunch of people in town for Homecoming Weekend. In the first half, most of the stadium was full, with a few empty spots in the upper corners.

I will go by ku's announced attendance. Mods, lock thread.

What is so hard to understand about this?

The crowd looks no different than the crowd for the 2nd half of the K-State/Nebraska game. KU fans left in the 2nd half after witnessing another embarrassing performance. This is a picture of the crowd from the 1st quarter:Actual attendance was 44,239, after KU got beat by a combined score of 114-14 in its past two games.

I just don't think 44,239 in attendance is that bad considering how embarrassing KU's performance has been this season. Also, I don't blame people for leaving in the 2nd half of a blowout.
Did they announce attendance last night? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------I don't remember hearing any figures. But the stadium looked to be about 2/3 full or so at game start.
Fans were still coming in at kickoff. More than 11,000 of 'em were yet to get to their seats.
