_Fan how much did you look at Baylor tape? From what I have seen RG3 is nowhere near as explosive in his first few steps (through the hole) the Martinez. How would you rate the two of them with regard to top end break away speed and explosiveness through the line.
I'd say that assessment is correct. Martinez is a straightline speed guy and has a good initial burst, but he isn't going to make you miss. Griffin is much better laterally, and has a nice burst, but he's not going to run away from you like Martinez over 30-40 yards.
Like I said, Griffin is also prone to try and make plays on his own. Sometimes that is really good for Baylor, but sometimes really bad as well. Martinez didn't do that, he was going to play within NU's scheme.
Plus, as I said, Baylor's scheme is much different overall than Nebraska's and their personnel is much different. Baylor is really close to CFU's personnel, but very different in scheme. We haven't really seen anyone that will run offense like Baylor will this week. The biggest keys will be limiting a) triple option zone read, b) zone read with a power look (pulling a guard) right at the center of the defense and c) Baylor's bubble/slip passing game.
