The octowood would have been much better than the octagon border. I'm not a big fan of the border. It is an improvement overall, though.

The border is the best thing about the new court. That and the smaller powercat without the Kansas State.

The rendering of it is way better. Maybe it'll get broken in and be closer to the rendering. Maybe it was just a big "eff you" to skinny benny.

Hard to say. SB opposed octowood because he didn't want to do funny things with the wood which obviously didn't happen. But he also did proclaim we are Kstateo and that it can't be ignored, which he was spot on.

Oh well, maybe it will grow on me, but bottom line, we swung for a solid line drive and not for the fences. I'm sure the BBPF and the new press box will make me forgive them, assuming we actually get a new press box.

I don't really have a problem with the darker wood inside the arc. It may not be a homerun, but I think K-State did a solid job with the design.
