True.  I am partially joking on that deal, but part of me thinks it would be good.  Of course I was partially joking on the Octagon of Doom thing too and that has turned out pretty good.

Dude, no. It's way too noisy and dizzying. I kind of like wabash's placement of the Doom logo though, at the tunnel entrance. Makes sense there.

I doubt it I do wear black adn brown together SO I probably have the worst taste ever, on another note I would like to see the doom sign right under the basket like lookin down through the hoop BOOM doom sign, powercat in middle and OoD on one side Kansas State on the other

Yeah, the octagaon of doom emblem placement at the end of the tunnel could be a good fit.

Nice first impression for the opposition as they enter and exit the court.  Real in your face.

I was sort of imagining a pre-game Anger-Pak for the players that would comprise of gathering in the center of the octagon and ritualistically dancing, jumping around and taunting the opposing team as they enter our court.  Kind of a new tradition thing.  Some student chanting could be worked in as well.

No more dizzying than a parquet floor with a big Texas in the middle.  JMHO.  

I agree it shouldn't be obnoxious with the stain/pattern.  Subtle use of the pattern to make the octagon shape, but still enough grain and stain in the wood would look nice, bring some more attention to the Octagon of Doom nickname, and make our court one of the most unique in the country.
