Agree with Dax kinda. Have some pressure sensitive tiles that light up when the player steps on them and then the light gradually fades once the pressure is taken off. They had something like this on Extreme Home Makeover once.

Don't really care for this version either. Make the powercat in the middle smaller and fit it in the mid court circle. Get rid of the wildcats on the baselines. Replace the Doom signs with Tex Winters or Jack Hartman's signatures. Move the Doom signs back to the lanes.
