K-State's budget is over $47 million . . . unless John just implemented a massive budget cut and didn't tell anyone.

I remember precisely that he said $44 mil on 810WHB when I was in Kansas City. He must have misunderestimated his own department. Amateur.

Well, the financial report he sent in the late summer said it was over $47 million, $44 million was last years budget.

Where are you at now? I'm curious if the huge increases in AD budgets are all inflation or if we are actually improving financially.

Embezzlement is up again.

Their new video board is pretty nice. Iowa State will have one very similar by next season!!

You guys getting a track too?

I dont know what is worse... KU having an outdoor track in their football stadium OR Iowa State not having an outdoor track period. I'd go with KU. Ames High and Drake works just fine; AD money doesn't need to be used on a facility used only for Iowa State track.
how broke are you guys?  i think you could build a track for roughly $300 and a trash bag filled with aluminum cans (from Michigan).

We have a 47 million dollar budget, and last I heard (from John Currie interview on 810WHB) that K-State's is only 44 million.

don't turn this into a pissing contest, it's a rough ridin' $300 track.  k-state has like 19 of them.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

For the record, I would gladly give up our outdoor track if it would get our basketball facility built one week earlier

It meant our basketball teams could still train while our arena experienced a natural disaster. That's what it got us.

The current track and field facility has deteriorated beyond repair, and does not meet requirements to host Big 12 Conference championships, the university said.

Soccer matches would be moved out of a flood plain. They are now held at a facility adjacent to Lied Recreation Center, which flooded in August.

You guys really like to milk every drop out of your stuff, don't you?
