Actually, Buffalo was not worse off than USF. USF literally had no football program prior to Leavitt. He took them from no program to FCS to CUSA to the Big East and a #2 ranking in FBS in about ten years. That's pretty goddamn impressive. Look at other similar programs in FIU and FAU. Both have similar beginnings to USF yet both are still among the worst teams in the FBS. Hell, Shellenberger (sp?) started FAU's program and he couldn't do crap with it. How much success did that guy have with Miami? Leavitt is likely the best we could get and possibly better than we can get. Remember all those big name coaches that were supposedly interested in KU, only 2 years removed from an Orange Bowl win? Who did they end up with? What makes you people think that a Harbaugh or Tuberville type would choose us when those types scoffed at KU? But GP and Leach would totally take the KSU job, right? Buncha retards.
