I heard this was an amazing scene at the downtown AMC.  Combined with the over 21 dorks who could actually drink in the theatre?  Wow.

While Wynalda was at the U.S. team's hotel to film player interviews before the Gold Cup final, Michael Bradley came at him angrily, poking a finger into his chest and yelling, while accusing Wynalda of saying he should not be on the national team.

Bradley is a jackass.  I like his game, but the dude has no head on his shoulders.  He has played all over the world, you would think he realizes that the US soccer media is by far the least aggressive.  The only reason his dad has a job is because the media here doesn't care enough to put the proper pressure on US Soccer.

i'd say that's a little harsh on Michael Bradley.  i still think he is the most promising defensive mid in the system.  if the defenders in the U.S. system weren't such a catastrophe he wouldn't have to be covering all over the field.

the soccer media have been really tough on Bob Bradley but like you said the conventional media establishments really don't care.  USSF doesn't really care about W/L either.  at this point they are happy with WC qualification success and the rest is gravy.  i guess my point in context to your post is that the problem doesn't begin w/ Bob Bradley.  it ends with him.  the whole system needs to be undone.  considering all that he may be the best coach for a fundamentally flawed USSF

a lot of attempts on goal in first half - should have been made extra pass on a lot of those.

womback's shot off the under side of the cross bar was a great effort.

obso: switching to Brazil vs Paraguay at halftime.  they need to make the field bigger for the men's game.  the women seem to play w/ so much more space.

oh god.  another off the post while typing this post.  that makes 3  :shakesfist:

refereeing has been fantastic in this final game.  the style of play is making it easy on the german ref.
