Cedar Hill senior Thomas Gipson ended with 14 points but was mostly stymied with Marcus’ sagging, man-to-man defense which allowed Banyard and 6-8 junior John Malone to rotate covering Cedar Hill’s 6-7 Kansas State signee with Smart dropping back to double-team when Gipson got possession.

Hubbard spent three years and 11 months incarcerated after a robbery arrest when he was 17. He's run out of second chances.

Seward 71, Cowley 67 FINAL Cowley led 37-32 at halftime. Jones was amazing … scored game-winner on breakaway layup with 19 seconds left and led all scorers with 29 points.

Seward County 83, Kansas City Kansas 67 FINAL Seward led 39-36 at halftime.  Jeremy Jones leads Saints into semifinals with 26 points on 9 of 21 shooting.

Huggins apparently sent Erik Martin to the semifinal game against Cowley.

Looks like Jones outplayed Iowa St. signee Tyrus McGee. Can't say he shot it real well from the floor, but he got to the line a lot and capitalized there.

Per this recent update from Iowa Scout site, Hubbard has offers from Iowa, Rutgers, Penn St, Iona. Update alludes to KSU "indicating they will offer" and interest from Louisville.

In all fairness, I think he was incarcerated for at least three years.

Sweet redemption.
