Looks like Jones knew the coaches were there to see him, put up 23 shots with 12 of those being treys, finished w/25 pts, 3 asts, and 5 TO's . Just looking at the box score, it looks like Seward got down big early, so a lot of those attempts may have been in a comeback effort.

Kind of sounds like a Jake clone in terms of production.

I'm obviously not talking about style of play since I've never seen Jones.

I watched this game.  They did get down by a bunch early.  Jones is smooth but didn't play a lick of defense.  He made Dodge's guards look  amazing...  He's almost a Nick Russell Clone.

Seward plays Butler in El Dorado on Saturday night.  Any HBBIQ ICTers want to give us a report?

Jeremy Jones had Arizona St, Okie St and Illinois State in as he won conference championship per asst Jay Cyriac. Sun Devils offered

FWIW, Jones had 17 pts, 6 asts, 5 boards, and 6 TO's in a 20+ pt Seward win over Garden City

I'm torn on this guy.  Who was the last JUCO guy out there that was really a 'game changer' for a team.

Swap him for Myles, sure.  Russell?  Irving?  I don't know.

We could swap him for Myles, but I don't see the point. He is Myles 2.0.

Dwight Hardy has absolutely been tearing it up at St John's this year(Indian Hills JC, IA), but he didn't really reach the "game changer" status until this year.

Gary Flowers(Chipola JC) has been a CUSA POY type at So Miss.

There's probably a few more examples out there of recent "game changing" JC transfers, but I believe your premise is correct, tough to find a real difference maker from those ranks these days.

Well, Myles wasn't a scorer in JUCO.  This guy is a 'scorer'.

Myles was a defender/distributor.

Adding him may be as pointless as adding Myles, and that may be what you're talking about.

The only reason I won't melt down if we get him is because of the other schools who are recruiting him.

Yeah, but I was looking for more recent examples than the late '80s.

I count Hoskins as a transfer.  He never played at that JUCO he was at.
