Remember Tony Smith, the 6'4" PG from Seward we were recruiting last year until he got kicked off the team? He signed w/ East Carolina but doesn't look like he lasted too long there, not on their roster, no stats. (Miguel Paul is ready to tear it up there next year though)

In no way is this post intended to be a knock on J. Jones or his hoops potential, just taking a trip down memory lane

18 pts, 5 asts, 2 boards, 1.7 stls on a good JC team, maybe a Matt Pressey caliber player?  :dunno:

We'll see if our interest (or if anybody else's) grows from here.

39% from 3, 52% overall, 73% FT shooter. 113 assists to 72 TOs. 41 steals.

I'd actually take him all things considered.

However, it means we're basically going to do nothing but run and shoot threes next year.  Rebounding is out of the question.

Wait, the coaches evaluate multiple players so they can make well informed decisions during the recruiting?!  Bullshit!!

I think the takeaway is the emphasis on Frank going all the way out to shitty Liberal to evaluate the guy.  It's not like he's sending Brad out there while he's going to NYC.

Another shooting guard, awesome.

Rodney can rebound... and Jamar rebounds every couple of games.

team had sun & mon off.  there better have been three coaches out seeing recruits.

Yeah that's my point, why is Frank going to see this guy?  Not that it matters a whole lot, it gives the appearance that evaluating Jones is the highest priority.

Personally I'd love to see a guy who averages about 6 points and 8 assists pg.

Yep, the 5 Turnovers makes it a lock that this kid is going to get a K-State offer.

I think we are more interested in Kamari because he has potential and a high ceiling compared to Jordan who is just big and sucks/no motor.
