I apologize if these guys have been mentioned before, but here are some preps that are still open per ESPN and Rivals:

Jarion Henry (4 star Rivals/3 star ESPN) - Dallas, TX/Kimball - http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/basketball/recruiting/player-Jarion-Henry-104578

Otto Porter (4 star Rivals/4 star ESPN) - Sikeston, MO/Scott County Central - http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/basketball/recruiting/player-Otto-Porter-108410

Eric Katenda (3 star Rivals/3 star ESPN) - Bel Aire, KS/Sunrise Christian Academy - http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/basketball/recruiting/player-109222

Kevin Johnson (3 star Rivals/3 star ESPN) - Woodland Hills, CA/William Howard Taft - http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/basketball/recruiting/player-Kevin-Johnson-82667

Forget it, the well is poisoned, no of these kids are going to come to K-State and put up with Frank.

Well, he has this year and next to make some strides.  Because he ran so many players off, the 2012 class doesn't need many bodies, so he'll be able to field a team next year with the players he brought in now.

Realistically, we're probably looking at one JUCO addition with a scholarship being held for 2012.

2011 was NOT a good Class nationally & very little is UNsigned!
The 3 that KSU has are very good for 2011.

Saw Diaz & Rodriguez in Jan.,
both are good enough, neither are Frosh Stars to be.

2012 Class is much better & bigger regionally + nationally,
...likely to "save" 1 or 2 rides for the 2012 Class!

Doesn't bode well for next season.  Play for the future.  Now if the tards could only forget that Frank speaks spanish, they would fall in love.

Well, that settles it.  Ojeleye is going to be a key cog in the 2011-2012 season.

Remember that time when both us and ku needed a pg, and they went out and got Selby and we went out and got a Canadian?

What did you expect? We're essentially in a similar situation as we were the season following Beasley and Walker.

two big differences: we already had Judge and McGruder commitments in hand.  And the 2011 class is FAR better than the 2008 class.

Yeah 08' was horrible, even by Wally standards. I'd really be alright with 11' IF we already had an experienced impact pg on the roster.

Sprads and Angel will split time at PG, plus it would be hard to convince any impact guard to come here with the number of guards we have on scholarship anyway.  I'd say if we can't get a really good big, save it for 12 and hope you can get Smart and Ellis or some combo of really good players like that.

Why use it just to use it?  Just setting up for another mediocre player you many need to run off the following year.

I don't think it would be a bad idea. There are still 5 left in the SO class and Samuels is currently the only scholarship JR. Kelly, Pullen, and Asprilla's departure leaves 3 for Rodriguez, Gipson, and Diaz. Judge frees up an extra, but rather than try to find some last ditch 2011 recruit, give it to Peterson for another scholarship in the current JR class, then you have 2 to give for the next class.

Unless we somehow pull a great player, may as well save it for 2012.  (Hopefully it won't get used on some shitty player in that class either.)

Saving one would allow the 'Open Scholarship would've made that' meme to continue.

Yes. This is the BBS bonus of the move, and by itself (regardless of roster imbalance) would be worth it.

otto porter is really good.  prolly too late to make any headway with him, but he's about the only one worth trying for.

they should bank the 'ship with a walk on till 2012, but they'll prolly pick a no talent juco, then run him off halfway through the '11-'12 season.  dumbasses.

akeem wright had some kinda sobering tweets on playing for martin/huggins.  nothing mean/anti emaw, just that it was difficult to handle.
