FWIW, Mayo was originally a Class of '10 prospect attending school and playing ball in the Memphis area last year. He was down to 3(W. Va, So. Miss, Baylor) last Spring before deciding to reclassify last(Rivals guys say it was grades).
A recent Scout update listed his current offers as Baylor(stunner), Missouri, UNLV BUT did not mention KSU or ku as schools of interest. He received very positive reviews for his play last weekend in the National Prep Showcase, primarily for his ability to score on all 3 levels, so there's a possibility that schools such as KSU and ku could have been persuaded to recruit him based upon his play at that event.
