Sys, I know we weren't in on this kid but I think I remember talking about him alittle.   Cezar Guerrero committed to Western Kentucky today which was a WTF moment for me.  Looked like he had offers from OU, KU , Indiana, CU among other schools.  Think he was over valued or what?

he never had offers that matched his ranking.  his ranking really never took off till late, either.  he finally convinced some of the rankings guys with a strong summer, but it seems like most coaches never bought in.

didn't have a ku offer.  may have had a legit ou offer, but he wasn't a priority for them.  don't know about his other schools.

interesting to see when he becomes eligible.  the way they appear to be rushing to enroll him makes it seem like they may be trying to get him eligible for the fall semester next year.  probably with eight week classes?

Seems like he'd be 3/2.  Played 2 years @ SLU, didn't redshirt.  So, he can use his redshirt this year, and play the next 2 years.  But, he looks like a NBA guy, so he may only play one year for us.

Interesting that while NBADraft.net has Reed projected going in the 1st round next Spring(probably not anymore given the recent news of his transfer), draftexpress refers him to as looking like a "4 year college player."

Draftnet lists him as the 7th best PF prospect eligible for this year's draft

Thomas Gipson swears up and down We have no more schollys in 2011............................. Why are we still recruiting Angel?! are we going to dump diaz or gipson? Or is Frank plan on a transfer/draft?

Apparently, Reed is not concerned with whether or not he gets a scholarship.  So that's one less we'll be over.  Also, will the fact that he never enrolled @ SLU have any impact on our end?
