Nothing against Angel, but it seems obvious that he is a back up plan.

if seems obvious by the way the staff stopped recruiting everyone but him after they signed the two mediocre bigs?

If you're a glutton for punishment, you can see Harrison and BJ Young do their thing in the vid linked below. Non-Rivals subcribers, you're spared, but if you wanna know, Harrison's jumper from deep is as smooth as advertised and Young looks like a big time playground scorer.

That could very well be true, Pokes are also in final 2 for 4* wing Damien Leonard from SC, Ford will never commit the sin of lacking firepower from deep, only problem is will he ever get a big worth a turd to play for him?

On the KMAN "Two Cents" podcast, Matt Figger said the 2011 class was done. Does that mean Gipson and Diaz are it, or are we going to hear soon that Angel or some other guy is committing?

Regarding the staff's recruiting philosophy, Figger said that our Elite 8 appearance has opened a lot of recruiting doors in the Big 12 area and that we get a lot more respect now. BUT! Then he said that although fans want 5-star guys and McD's All-Americans, a lot of those guys "don't fit our mold" because they've "never had a work ethic."

So this seems to be their official recruiting philosophy. I'm just having a little trouble believing that all the really good players also happen to be lazy bums.

F*ck all of them.  They're all breaking my heart.  I hate this sh*t.  It's almost better to say you can't recruit to Manhattan.  Only problem is these jackasses have recruited to Manhattan and now just seem f*cking lazy since they got their payday.  F*ck.  Me.

I like there "right fit" recruiting philosophy.  I want to see some hustle out there not a bunch of premadonas who think they are to good to run suicides or to "pass the f'ing ball."  I'm sure those guys are out there but they go to Duke.

sign me up for the bitchy 5 stars that can win championships.

would rather have to overlook questionable work ethic than to not make the NCAA's.

Nonsense!  If they have a history of laziness, I can't work with them!

Sincerely,

Curtis Kelly's coach

yeah, if anything our staff should be recruiting the most talented and lazy players out there given their history.
