Good grief!  Ell is such a whiner.  Bill gave him the entire first quarter of the Fiesta Bowl to heal up!

Ell played every snap in that game bro.

Ell is probably in my top 3 EMAW footballers of all time.  He had the "we're good, we know it, and we don't take no feces " attitude we've lacked ever since he left.  I'll never forger the 90 yard run against nebraska or the crazy touchdowns he had in road games at OU and UT.  Also the 2002 Holiday bowl.  So many good Ell memories..........

No, man... I was there.  Ell had the entire 1st qtr off.  Guaranteed.

I was there too buddy and you're wrong on this one.  Sorry.  Ell started.

Actually I think that article is wrong.  Pretty sure Ell came back in after the first or second offensive series.  However, it was not the entire 1st quarter.

No

Perhaps we can lift the Curse of Ell by getting him back to town for a game and showering him with a nice, appreciative, standing O?  Maybe then all will be forgiven for the scholarship yank and OB can get another good QB again.

On another note, the train recipient was not white, but black.  A common misconception.  I had several sistas complaining to me about this white girl letting these football players run the train on her...well....they were wrong.

You sit Ell for a quarter in the Fiesta Bowl saying he broke team rules and that's that.

Also, in the 2001 season Ell should have been the 1st string QB all season and only replaced if hurt, which he was a couple of times.

Yeah I was there too, Ell started and played the whole game. He was really off for the first quarter, but it was him.

Maybe James and Ell hadn't swapped back yet and McGill was under center first quarter  :dunno:

"I didn't slide — didn't know how to — they never taught us how to do that at K-State," he said. "We were tough. You have to be to play quarterback there. We ran the option, play-action and the reads. That's part of it. You aren't going to slide. You're going to get that extra yard. K-State quarterbacks just don't slide. That's Kansas State football. If you can get that extra inch or yard, you go get it."

Maybe we should have taught Bishop to slide before the '98 dr. pepper
Free edge up to defensive starters when opponents held under 10.

Ell should've slid in that Vince Young matchup in Austin that year.

And Bishop should've slid in St. Louis.
