Two kinds of people in this world:

1. Those who check the time on their cell phone
2. Those who have to check the time on their cell phone to set the time on their extremely antiquated piece of jewelry.
Do you wear Sketchers to work?

i believe this belongs in the iowa "hate/feel sorry for them" thread.
aren't you glad it wasn't you? - g.h.

the whole watch or no watch thing depends greatly on what you do for a living imo. i personally have no need/desire for one, but i can see why clams or lsoc would want a nice one.

I agree with this. Used to wear nice watches, but now that I do food product development I don't want to get food/ingredients all inside and on a watch so just don't wear one anymore.

How hard is it for you watch-guys to coordinate your time piece with your tie chain?

Don't have to be a suit/tie guy to appreciate a bad ass watch.

I don't wear suit/tie to work.  Love me some awesome watches.

FYI, you're about to walk into an angry tornado of anti-tie fastener sentiment:

Pin, clips, and chains are for 50 year olds and dumbasses.

are you having a lets stand around outside and see who's tie stays put competition?  when i go outside I expect my tie to move around, when I drive around in my car, i expect my tie to move around, when i'm in a setting where it matters, my tie is going to hang like it is supposed to.

There's a guy in my office that does the fancy watch thing.  Has, like, a lot of them.  Tries to tell me about them a lot.  I'm always, like, "Is it a Fossil or something?" and he gets all mad/sad.  Pretty good times.

What would he do if you asked if his watch was a timex

Two kinds of people in the world:

1) People with real jobs who don't care what time it is/can look on their computer or clock in their office

2) People who need their watch to make sure they take their 15 minute break on time

Good luck with your watches, losers.

there is a third group. it's the group of important people with important jobs that have to look important to other important people so that they will be taken seriously. an important person with a two thousand dollar watch is going to lol at your dillars fossil. disadvantage=you. i wear adidas cross trainers to work though so it's pretty obvious that i'm not important. no watch will make up for that. that's why i don't wear one. poor little unimportant rick daris.

I lose and break watches all the time, so no more watches for me.

I work with loads of guys from India and they wear the crap out of jewelry...the LOVE the rings.  AND, they frequently rock mustaches and unbuttoned dress shirts with no undershirt.  Basically, what I am saying is that Indians are disco guys.

i can't stand rings.  not sure what i'd do if i ever got married, prob just buy another watch instead of a ring.

absolutely love when guys wear pinky or thumb rings, they rock.

Like having a nice watch.  I have teeny wrists though and most guy watches look redic on them. hard to find ones that look good on my wrist.

I'm thinking about getting a ring on a chain around my neck and wearing that as my wedding ring.  Like in Lord of the Rings.
