I also need to take back my comment on pinstripes.  Pinstripes are fine for a special occasion suit.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Wedding Setting:

October 8th. The day after the Nubbs come to town. The back patio of a wealthy to do'er in Manhattan. The back of the home is on #11 fairway of the Country Club. Small, intimate setting with only 15 peps in attendance. Quick ceremony of sorts and then directly into cocktails and a sit down dinner.

- The suit will be worn only on occasions. So, the Brooks Bros. may be a stretch unless they have a super september sale going.
- I don't want to wear pinstripes because I do not like pinstripes. I'm more of a plain pattern dude.
- I really liked the colors of the mannequin on the left that Nicname posted. Thats a color scheme that would make me look good.

Make sure you get a better fit on the suit and shirt than this:

Some other tidbits:

- i'm wearing it up at the alter for my wedding. non-traditional outdoor wedding. she's wearing a faint pink dress.
- pleated pants or flat front? how long until the flats are uncool? pleated make me look all Manginoey.
- what color of shoes go best with navy suits?
- what color of dress shirt and tie?

OMG sooo many questions remain unanswered.

Not wearing white???       :surprised:

If I am able to guess the name of the wealthy to do'er, do you mind if trim and i and some other people people that are going to still be in town from the game come by for some of those cocktails and maybe a round of golf?

Absolutely. Might be a little awkward, but the room will be full of silver haired EMAWs and EWAWS. Guess away....

My favorite suit is from Express.  Not really a "suit store," but it gets the job done.  If you're planning on wearing a navy suit, and she's wearing a light pink dress, why not wear a light pink shirt with the navy suit? :dunno:

Express does have some nice suits.  And I wouldn't wear a pink shirt, too cutesy.  A pink tie would be better, IMHO.

If you can afford it, I would go Brooks Brothers. But if you aren't worried about the suit holding up for lots of wears, you can get one cheaper that will look fine at Jos A. Bank or Dillards. The Jos A. Bank suits tend to have pretty large shoulder pads, but if you like the way they look on you, that's what matters.

I won't be buying another dress shirt at Jos A. Bank. My last couple fell apart much too quickly.  :flush:
