ya, the fact that you need it to sleep prolly isn't good.  To test it out you should try to go 30 days without a drink and see how hard it is.  If it's not hard at all you are prolly in the clear.  If you struggle you may be in troubs.

What is the rule if Steve Dave tries to Ice one of us when we start the intervention?  Do you do the Ice?  What if you have an Ice and you block him?  Do you make the subject of the intervention take the Ice?  Sort of a gray area here, no?

You take the ice. You're not the alcoholic. He is. By taking it from him, you're embodying the interventionist spirit of taking fun away from his life. As a good friend that loves him. Also, pat him down and take away any other ices and distribute them accordingly.

What do you do for a living? Do you ever drink during your lunch break/before you go to work? Have you ever drank on the job? How often do you drink and drive? Do you ever call in sick so you can drink instead of work?

Do you ever get hangovers?

Answer these questions and I think I can tell you without a doubt what phase of alcoholism/being a deadbeat/loser you are.

You should try this.  Actually just try 7 days.  If you can get through the weekend without coming up with a lame excuse to drink (football game)you're probably not a total drunk.  Out of curiosity, how many times within the last 3 months have you woke up from a bender and sworn 'you were done' getting hammered?

No DUI's.  I probably black crap out twice a week though.  I pretty much spend my life getting shitfaced and getting it on w/ waitresses and bartenders.  I wake up and see texts from girls about the date we have planned and I have no recollection of even asking.  I'm having a good time but I'm starting to get concerned.  

If it aint broke don't fix it.
