I think somebody just fired a shot across the bow of the Lenexa Chili Festival
It's a hell of a lot more work than chili if you do it right. But definitely better than chili.

I've actually never done that recipe w/ ham. Will have to try some time and compare.

I make it at least once a week with Andouille Sausage. I met a girl recently that is from New Orleans. She get authentic ingredients for fantastic Cajun dishes shipped from her family. She is supposed to cook for me one of these days
