KU went 5-7 and lost seven straight games with its best QB and two best WR's in school history. The rest of the team pretty much sucked, and that's what we found out this season. Do I think Gill is some x's and o's genius? No, and neither is Gene Chizik, but he's about to compete for a national title in a couple of weeks. The bottom line is that you have to give a coaching staff at least two-three years to recruit their own players and establish their own program. KU is kicking K-State's ass on the recruiting trail, even after going 3-9 and 1-7 in conference. Just wait until Wyatt and Mitchell have another year or two under their belts.
