I would absolutely take Gill. More than likely, both programs are going to have new coaches in the next few years. The new coach at K-State is going to inherit five years of the worst recruiting classes in the conference. The new coach at KU will have actual BCS-type players.

Wasn't there a thread on the old board called "Just recruit, Bill"?

That's really all he needs to be doing. eff game plans and all that. Just recruit. That's how you build the foundation and actually make the job somewhat attractive.

Plus, Gill seemed to have KU improving as the year went along.  I mean, he started very badly so that was probably going to be a given but he still seemed to get the ball rolling.  The KSU Cats under coach Snyds?  Nope, got way worse.

depends how you look at it I guess.  Goergia Tech was a BCS program who went to a bowl.  We didn't beat one of those.

Meanwhile, UCF won a conference title, finished with 11 wins, and beat an SEC team in their bowl game. Thir really isn't any comparison between the two teams.

I hate Snyder as much as the next guy, but saying you want Gill over Snyder right now is beyond stupid, especially after 59-7. KU was probably the worst BCS team last season.

I'll take a crappy coach who doesn't ignore recruiting over a mediocre (at best) coach who can't recruit, especially when the mediocre coach is old and senile.
