So, KU is one recruit and $200K away from an NC in football?

ku doesn't have that kind of money.

KU's endowment is twice as big as Auburn's.

Endowment? WGAF

Auburn's boosters are sitting in their plantation style homes and laughing at your suburbian boosters.

Philip Anschutz makes every Auburn booster look like an incredibly poor hobo.

Again, Auburn's boosters and their old money families are laughing at how broke KU is.

Accepting reality can be difficult, but stay strong, "EMAWmeister."

Trust me, I know accepting reality is tough for some. I've had to watch you defend KU football all year.

KU's recruiting class is now #31 after signing a 4-star athlete out of East St. Louis.

Maybe you should be telling this to the tards in your own fanbase. All of those recruits will be leaving when they run off Gill.

The real question is why Wisconsin is struggling so much with recruiting. :dunno:

How does a kid out of East St. Louis fit into Gill's standards?

I would walk to Manhattan and help Bill clean out his office if we could get Gil.

FTR, I think Gil is a terrible coach, but if it mean Bill's old ass and his awful staff is gone, I would take him.   :frown:

I would absolutely take Gill. More than likely, both programs are going to have new coaches in the next few years. The new coach at K-State is going to inherit five years of the worst recruiting classes in the conference. The new coach at KU will have actual BCS-type players.

Wasn't there a thread on the old board called "Just recruit, Bill"?

That's really all he needs to be doing. eff game plans and all that. Just recruit. That's how you build the foundation and actually make the job somewhat attractive.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Plus, Gill seemed to have KU improving as the year went along.  I mean, he started very badly so that was probably going to be a given but he still seemed to get the ball rolling.  The KSU Cats under coach Snyds?  Nope, got way worse.

depends how you look at it I guess.  Goergia Tech was a BCS program who went to a bowl.  We didn't beat one of those.

Georgia Tech was awful. They played in the 2nd worst BCS conference, finished with a losing record, and lost to a MWC team in their bowl game. Meanwhile, UCF won a conference title, finished with 11 wins, and beat an SEC team in their bowl game. Thir really isn't any comparison between the two teams.

I hate Snyder as much as the next guy, but saying you want Gill over Snyder right now is beyond stupid, especially after 59-7. KU was probably the worst BCS team last season.

I'll take a crappy coach who doesn't ignore recruiting over a mediocre (at best) coach who can't recruit, especially when the mediocre coach is old and senile.

I think we should finally just give-up combine football teams.  Our guys can recruit 'em, your guys can coach 'em up.  Together we should be able to compete in mountain west.
