College was the greatest time of my life because I could put everything in my backpack.  My pockets were perpetually empty in college.  Amazing times.

But again, you can't wear a backpack to a restaurant, or the grocery store.

Backpack seems like an obvious solution but you look like a tool doing that unless you are in college or live in Colorado.

Just do the murse/satchel thing and when you go into restaurants, make it clear to the other patrons that you are extremely important and highly mobile. Start making a bunch of phone calls/sending emails with loud alerts once you get seated and the awkwardness of the satchel goes away.

I have a kid and currently do this.  But said kid is almost done with diapers and diaper bags.  I've been trying to discourage using the potty for a while now, but she's going to figure it out eventually and then it's over.  Should I keep having kids just to avoid pocket bulge?  Maybe.  Sys is going to be so pissed.

The only way you should carry a murse is if you are gay or have a wife.  That way, she's bound to you by law and you're harder to break up with.  But, if my hubby came to me with the murse idea, I'd offer to carry his stuff anytime in my purse.  He already stashes his stuff in there anyway.  Leave the bags to the women.  Wear cargo shorts with lots of pockets.  Much more appealing than a murse.

here's a tip 33, you already have a kid, your life is over.  go find yourself a huge friggin purse and load it with 2 packs each of every flavor of gum imaginable, then load it with whatever else that your life is cluttered with.  carry it everywhere you go because it doesn't matter anymore.

By the time anyone has actually reads what is on your purse, it is too late to matter what your purse says.  They have already processed that you are carrying a purse.

We got a little kid backpack, she loves wearing it and i can store my crap in it.  It's like having a tiny servant that carries your crap.

Absolutely hate stuff in my pockets as well - the trinity of phone/wallet/keys is too much for me.  The Costanza wallet does NOT help matters.  Fall and winter are my favorite because jackets = socially acceptable purses that keep you warm.

Take most of that crap out of your wallet dude, you don't need to carry much of anything 24/7, and buy a smaller wallet.  Keys in one front pocket, phone in the other, and a slim wallet in a back pocket.  Unless you're wearing some skinny jeans, there's no way that's too much stuff.

This guy knows what he is doing.  One thing in each pocket is not too much to carry.

It's not so much that as it is this:  Some of us were too smart to buy the cow when we can get the milk for free.  I would like to continue getting free milk and the murse makes that exponentially more difficult.  Carrying around a murse is essentially like hanging out with the world's biggest male genitals-blocker, at all times.  Seems like a bad idea to me.
