i am not overly fond of douchecanoe.  prolly cause mrs. chunkles says it a lot.  Mostly to say " hey (chunkles), don't be such goddamn douchecanoe." gross.   :sdeek:
It would seem there is an easy fix to this one.

I can't stand it when people use "literally" way out of context.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

I feel your pain, chunkles, I feel it deep.  My wife doesn't call me this, but she does occasionally use it in my presence.  She picked this up from some dimwits she works with and I told her she really needs to stop saying it because it's an imbecile's idea of funny.  It makes no rough ridin' sense; zero wit involved.  I told her every time she says it a little part of my respect for her dies and I can't promise that it'll come back.  She didn't like it.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

I'm pretty sure that is a goEMAW thing.  I mean, I see myself throwing it into posts all the time.  I see it all over the board as well.  Don't see it very much anywhere else though.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I don't hate any particular word. I just hate when people use the same words and phrases over and over and over again. Maybe if people could get over their hatred of certain words and phrases, they could broaden their vocabulary and stop saying the same hackneyed phrases.

When people say the word "woof", as in "wolf".  There's an "l" in there for a reason.     :shakesfist:

people who say "ironically" when they really mean "coincidentally."  If you and your buddy are accidentally wearing the same shirt on gameday, there's nothing ironic about it, dumbass.

I also hate the word beverage when used seriously.  Like, in a police report, the individual had consumed approximately 3-4 alcoholic beverages.  Hate it.  Asking your buddy if he wants a frosty beverage, on the other hand, is fine.

"Or no?"

I tack this on the end of almost every question I ask. It's like I'm afraid of the answer.

"Mind if I copy your math homework...or no?"

I'm told that's a Chicago thing.  I also hate it.

Don't like when people use the word sex to describe gender.  Just use gender.  Use sex when describing sex.

This is probably the best place to admit that I no longer remember how to say "coyote" in a standard setting. I just always go with the Kansan "kayot" because one thing I hate is people that over pronounce Spanish words in a Spanish way.
