I also think it's funny that everyone in eastern Kansas claims a Missouri team as their NFL team of choice.

Well, it's not like they can choose a Kansas NFL team

Right, so I don't understand all the butthurt when the people in the western part of the state choose to cheer for the Broncos. "Let's see, a team 6 hours away in another state (the Chiefs) or a team 3 hours away in another state (the Broncos). Who should I cheer for?"

Gotcha.  :dnr: the posts before yours when I made my post.

Guys, the Chiefs suck and they always will suck. Get used to it.

The Chiefs had the best overall winning % in the 90s.  There's no reason to assume they won't become a winning program again.  Hell, name one NFL franchise that hasn't experienced success in the last 10 yrs.  Buffalo, Cleveland, Miami...  I'm sure there's a few more.  Still, way more have experienced success to a degree than have not.  Stop with the battered wife syndrome.  Pioli can't hurt you anymore, its okay now.

only won 2 playoff games the entire decade and failed to make a single super bowl. chiefs fans love to reminisce about the "glory days" of the 90's, when all they really did was win some meaningless regular season games and then watch teams with real qb's knock their ass out when it counted.

Actually it was 3 playoff wins loser.  And making the 2nd round via bye is just as good as a playoff win.  So lets call it 5 playoff wins.

I hope Reid hires Charlie Weis as OC, just to see the biggest squawk meltdown since Roy Williams left KU for NC. Squawks would then claim they could woo Chip Kelly or Urban Meyer as next HC because it's such a great job.

Chiefs fans reminiscing about the 90's is exactly 0% different than any emaw reminiscing about the DoD.

Yes. That's why listening to chiefs and royals fans make me sad and prone to lashing out to prove they're different than me.

My point is there's nothing wrong with either group reminiscing about the good old days. It's not their fault that their teams' respective "good old days" are not as good as other more successful teams'.

don't know if luked, but I heard from a source (C+) that there is talks of trading the pick to Tampa for their first round pick and.......Freemaw.

:dunno:  would be an upgrade at qb.

apparently the bucs aren't extending freemaw's contract, so there's that.

i can't see a downside to that trade, really.  there's nobody in the draft that would benefit the chiefs at the #1 spot.  why not take a good young qb and then use the lower first round pick for a good young o-line or something.

The Chiefs should definitely do this and then see if Green Bay will give them Jordy for Tampa's first round pick.

His stats this year were much better than they were last year. I think he would be perfect for Andy Reid's system.

I've never watched Freeman and thought he was anything short of amazing. I don't watch much NFL, though.

I would much rather have Josh Freeman and another first round pick than take a chance on Geno and have no other first round pick. The Chiefs need to make this deal happen. Then, they need to trade that other first round pick for stud WR Jordy Nelson. Reunite the gang, and let Andy handle the rest.

i want BPA at 1st overall. the left tackle from a&m, jarvis jones.. i don't care. whoever is at the top of the scouts board.. then with the 33rd pick, or trade back up into the late 1st if necessary, grab tyler wilson or aaron murray.
