The 49ers division is tougher than the Chiefs although I could see an argument there.  Cross-conference opponents give us the NFC North which is easier than the 49ers getting the AFC North. Intra-conference opponents give the 49ers the NFC East which is harder than the AFC South the Chiefs have. We do get the Eagles in the random 17th game whereas they get the Jags, which is where the 49ers have it easier.

I know the argument is for the remaining schedule, which is a little different, but I think the Chiefs have it pretty good.

My god guys, if you’re a middling team trying to make the playoffs then you could argue the niners schedule is harder, but we’re not.  The only scary teams on the niners schedule are the eagles and bengals (both of whom we play).  They are clear cut favorites in all of their other games.

And having tampa bay and indy at 8 and 11 is very suspect.  I would rather face either of those teams than the chargers.

I have no reason to believe they won’t be the same team they have been in years past by the end of the season.  They have all the same pieces, same coaches, their defense still looks good, burrow is getting healthier…

Folks, it’s a long season, if you want to allow mocats thing to think for you then by all means.  I prefer to use a variety of metrics to shape my opinion of the league.
