It's because the Nuggets and Rockies are generally pretty awful. They liked the Avalanche a while back when they were good, too. But not sure about whether or not that's still a thing. I don't follow hockey.

At least that's how it was explained to me years ago.

The station I worked for in Garden City played the Broncos. I had to do ads for them all the time. It was thee worst!

That's exactly how it was being a Broncos fan in Kansas City. I assume that's how it is everywhere. But at least the Broncos fans are richer/more attractive.

Have always been a pretty big Chiefs fan, but never really cared about how much I hated the Broncos/Broncos fans... then I moved to Denver a few years ago... I don't think I love the Chiefs any more than I did, but I absolutely hate the Broncos and their fans so much more now.

Maybe that's what it is.

I would say the equivalent to 2014 Royals is losing by 3 and missing a 55 yard field goal to tie as time expired.
