if you think alex smith is a more talented qb and will have a better career than carr then just get in line behind wacky and i'll stamp dumbass in permanent ink on your forehead too.
I'd say Alex is by far the best qb in the division right now, especially after Peyton Manning's special needs clinic last year.

I'll bet a holiday 5 pack on the under
Another year, another imaginary bet won.  :gocho:

:nono: they haven't won 10 games yet.

More importantly, I believe I bet on U10, so 10 is a push, but I sure hope I lose!
:adios:

The Chiefs are the very definition of letting history be your guide.   The history screams at you and says the only time the Chiefs have done anything that really mattered was when a guy enshrined in Canton Ohio lined up behind center.

They've had guys who were NFL sack leaders, lead the NFL in rushing, thrown for 4000 plus yards in a season, great secondaries, HOF bound tight ends, HOF running backs,  the best O line in the NFL and they've got one 46 year old Super Bowl trophy and one AFC championship game appearance in the last 46 years.  One with Len Dawson and the other with Joe Montana.

Nearly 25 years of playoff futility rolling one game manager QB after another out there.

Yup!

I'm feeling chippy today, and I'm just tired of listening to whining about things that people don't take the time to look into themselves.

Did most people know that with what we're paying Alex Smith, at least with his salary averaged out across his contract duration, we could have him plus Sproles for less than the cost of one Matt Ryan?
People like Dax just want to bitch to get a rise out of ppl. Cf3 thinks he can PI the Chiefs into being a good team, like he did the Royals. Some of it is psychological fandom. This team has a special place in my heart this year tho. They overcame a lot and have me super jazzed for some postseason football. I need the Chiefs to step up, on K-State down years, and they have!

I'm a Chiefs "fan", but I'm not really emotionally invested in them like I am other teams.  I'm more of an enthused casual observer, mainly because I think the NFL is pretty boring in general.  I hate fantasy sports, and I dislike the NFL's lack of creativity, so it's not a great fit.

However, as I absolutely love the business side of sports, the salary cap and putting a team together based on that fascinates me.  The NFL is the most fun in this regard.

So, it's easy for me to look at them and say, "29-17 is pretty good" because I don't live and die with every game.  To be honest, I don't even watch half of the games because I'm usually only able to catch the first of second half of any game.  It's rare if I'm able to sit down for a full game.  I'm able to be objective.

The Patriots almost lost to the same "really bad team".

Newton had 4 games worth of production for Alex Smith, in one game. #23years

The Panthers got into the playoffs last year with a losing record. The NFC has been and always will be hot garbage. I never thought of Dax as a t-shirt fan, but man, here we are. If the Chiefs played in the NFC, OMG!!!

The AFC still has the Jacksonville Jags in playoff contention.

Chiefs Offensive Scoring "drives" from yesterday:

10 Plays 89 yards TD

3 plays-24 yards TD

8 plays-29 yards FG

14 plays-81 yards FG

Otherwise:

3 plays -3 yards Punt
6 plays 35 yards Punt
3 plays 4 yards Punt
6 plays 17 yards Punt
3 plays 8 yards Punt

5 Series 61 yards of total offense

Wow . . . prolific.

Also, Dax, the Texans wrapped up the division this last Sunday, but say whatever your butthurt  butt wants to say. The Chiefs don't piss away leads like the Panthers. They don't need to be "prolific" when you're already kicking the teams ass and have the best defense in the league! They know who they are. They don't need to shoutout teams. Times have changed!

First off, I don't get why you're so butthurt about the Panthers, granted they have been to 3 NFC Championships games and a Super Bowl since the Chiefs last won a playoff game.  But quit acting like its extraordinary that the Giants gave the Panthers a good game in the Meadowlands when Tom Brady had to pull off a miracle to beat the Giants in the Meadowlands just a few weeks back.

Alex Smith has to yet to prove to anyone he can do it at crunch time in a big game.   Hell his one TD pass to McClain yesterday once again made the receiver make a huge adjustment to catch the ball even though he had his man beat by 3 steps.   It was a nice win by the Chiefs defense playing against a 2nd string QB who BTW was run out of Charlotte on a rail he sucked so bad.   Yay, the Chiefs beat a Jimmy Clausen lead 4-10 Ravens Team!  Hand over the Lombardi Trophy!
