I feel gross being in here but I just saw Jamaal Charles give a speech at the Special Olympics World Games Opening Ceremony. It occurred to me that I have never heard him speak before. I did not know he has a learning disability, nor did I know that he completed as a Special Olympian as a child. I hope his speech gets youtubed, it was very courageous and uplifting.

also, jamaal is an american hero. if he hadn't spent his career here in kc in anonymity, he'd be a 1st ballot hall of famer.

Unbelievable recovery and dedication to continue playing football. Trained while on chemo and came out of treatment a pound heavier.
