Anyone with kids can relate: I had a conversation with my 3 year old this morning, who wanted to have candy for breakfast. I said no, she can have a banana, yogurt, cereal, eggs, toast, a sandwich, turkey slices, oranges, or a granola bar, but we don't have candy for breakfast. She asked why. I explained that its important to eat healthy, and I want her to grow up and be a healthy person who has good habits. But why Daddy she asked. I explained how our bodies need fuel, like a car, and good fuel will make us like a fast race car or a strong truck, but bad fuel will make us like a broken down smelly car that doesn't go fast enough. After explaining all this, then I asked what she wanted for breakfast.
"CANDY DADDY!!!!! I WAAAAAANT CANDY FOR BWEKFAST!!!!!!!!!!!"
This is exactly the same feeling I have when discussing Alex Smith with WC08. I can point out reason after reason after reason why there are better options or that he is not good, but it doesn't matter to a 3 year old.
