good. chargers can beat peyton. not so sure the dalton-led bengals could.

I won't lie, guys. This hurt almost as much as the '98 Big XII Championship.

BTW....Sammy Watkins would be a nice pickup at WR if it could happen...   :whistle1:

this rough ridin' sucks. i was doing pretty well with this season, even with the 2-5 end to the regular. was generally happy, optimistic, excited about the future, in a general good mood about the chiefs.

38-10 was great. we were headed to a kansas city sports playoff win which would be something that hadn't happened since i was 4. i could stop bitching (somewhat) about our teams never doing anything meaningful.

but here we are. once again we are reminded that kansas city will never have nice things. the royals are going to play below expectations, again, and miss the playoffs, again. the chiefs in 2014 will have a tougher schedule, go 8-8 or close to it and miss the playoffs.

probably what pisses me off the most is how familiar i am with this feeling.

It's absurd that Sutton will still be our DC next season.

Firing him would be bullshit. This is 100% on Andy Reid.

The score was 38-10 in the second half. How was it not?

We lost our top 2 RB, two of our top 3 corners, our top pass rusher and a WR.  We lost and it sucks.  We were up 28 and should have held on.  That said, its tough to run the ball/clock with Cyrus Gray.  Its tough to cover their WRs with no corners and stop their passing when Luck has all day.  This was a banged up team doing everything they could to hang on.  Should have won, but considering who they were trotting out there in the 4th its hard for me to be angry about them losing

i'm not really blaming anyone in particular, but i would say that NFL backups should be able to hold a 38-10 lead in less than a half of football. maybe i'm wrong.

and i can't blame you for not being angry. i believe apathy is a key element of Battered Wife Syndrome.

Not angry at the players.  Tough to yell "Why the hell isn't Cyrus Gray carrying this team to a playoff victory" at the television.  The coaches should have found ways to win this game.  Considering on offense we want to run the clock and have our 3rd string RB and on D they want to pass and we have no corners or pass rush, not a whole lot we could do short of score on the last drive.

The Chiefs had already all but lost the game by the time Gray was the only option at RB. The whole team just quit. Offense and defense. That's on the head coach.

who gives a crap if they won that game or not... they were gonna lose their next one anyways.

they just weren't that good, bottom line. got hot against some bad teams to start the season and then showed their true colors. monumental collapse with some injuries, sure. but they didn't have a chance at going any further. a win last week would have been delaying the inevitable.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

It's not that they lost so much as it is that they crapped their pants and blew a 38-10 lead. They absolutely would have had a chance to win next week, too. It's the NFL and the Chiefs actually had a pretty good team this year.

three teams swept the Chiefs this year, accounting for 100% of the Chiefs' losses

Hey guyz, I watched the game with some buds at the Bslider and guess who sits down at the table right next to us? Yup, the FanMan himself.

Ben ji and ole Wackycat cheered the cats on to victory and shared a lot of high 5's until the end of the chefs game.
