thank you. my facebook is blowing up with dumbass chiefs fans who apparently want to continue the franchise's eternal commitment to complete and absolute stupidity.

Yeah, cause getting Joe Montana for his last couple of years just ruined us.  The late nineties after he retired we were awful.

An elite QB would make this team an immediate super bowl contender.  We are way under the cap, I fail to see how this would be a bad thing.  2-3 years of Payton at the end of his career is far better than 2-3 more years of Cassel / Orton.
:adios:

getting Manning would be more for the publicity and marketing and less for the on-the-field stuff.  would be a homerun for almost any team in the league.

Manning would be an auto field general. The only thing they would lose to get him is salary cap money, which they have a eff ton of . Trading for another QB, say like Drew B, would cost them money and draft picks. That's not gonna happen again. They might be able to draft, big emphasis on might, but it would be several years before they see any fruit from that tree. Even if PM isn't 100%, he's still 10X better that what they have currently and having a QB to build around is the Scotty P/Patriots way.  Just my .02 worth.

oh look. the dumbassery transported itself to goEMAW  :ksu:

regular season peyton: 678 win %

playoff peyton: 474 win %

 :flush:

kc as a franchise needs to grow a pair and draft a kid and build around him. either give up a couple 1sts and take RG3. or stockpile picks and fix the lines, and have some ammo to move up and take barkley or whoever next year. 2 years of a broke-ass peyton is more of the same. i mean.. i don't even..

why not do both?  it's going to cost the chiefs ZERO to get manning.  he's a media goldmine.

cam newton.

RG3 is a better passer and qb. so long as he learns to take a snap from under center, he should start from day one.

manning means more national tv time.  doesn't matter if they win any more or less games.  embrace it.

Signing Manning without drafting a QB to be his understudy would be a disaster.  Stanzi isn't going to work.  Too many dumbass decisions. If we did get PM I'd like to see us use a mid rounder on a QB, let him learn for 2-3 years and then step up when PM retires.

Otherwise we're looking at a Favre to the Jets situation.

The Chiefs would be Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) not to get Manning. They weren't quite shitty enough to draft an elite QB, so they should just go get Manning and enjoy winning for a change.

There's a new rule saying you have to use a certain amount of cap space this year. Chiefs are far below it. They'll get Manning just because it will be the easiest way to fix that. And most fans will love it.

Colt's Reg season record with PM:

2010: 10-6

Post season record: 9-10. That's 19 games since he became the starter. Would take in a heartbeat. A HEARTBEAT.

so drafting a kid in the 1st rd potentially gets a you decade or more of awesomeness?? and a 36 year old maybe two years??

yeah, thanks for validating my point bro. 'grats on that one.

The 36 year old guarantees you 2-3 years. Drafting the kid guarantees absolutely nothing, but if he happens to end up being one of the 5 best QB's of all time, you will get a decade or more of awesomeness.

The Chiefs aren't getting Peyton Manning. Here are the reasons why:

1. Hunt Family
2. Scott Pioli
3. Romeo Crenel and some no name OC
4. Average to below average supporting cast (don't give me the Dwayne Bowe is a #1 receiver crap, even with a HoF QB he isn't. Peyton doesn't want to go somewhere with a crap OL)
5. Why would someone chose to live in Kansas City over Arizona or Miami?

Enjoy another 2-3 years of Matt Cassel.
