The dumpoff to the running back/slot receiver has been around for a long time and will continue to be.  Not comparing Smith to Brady or Manning, but all of these QBs greatly benefit by having this in their arsenal.

His 4tds to Charles went -4 yards, -6 yards, -3 yards, and 18 yards.  I don't know about the McGrath one, but it was a 6 yard td, and I'm not sure how deep it was in the end zone when he caught it.  So he's at 5 yards down the field plus whatever the McGrath td was.
