Nick is from Missouri and his dad did well as a firefighter there. Head of the union or something like that. I don't think he ever crossed state lines for anything other than work. I know he never went to a collegiate game on the KS side FWIW while he was here, which is funny, because our place of work was in Mission, KS. Either way, he went to Syracuse, so he should give zero fucks.

I'm not going to lie, I freaking love how much Nick Wright is a homer for Mahomes/The Chiefs.

Who cares if he used to blow dart smoke in wacky's face when they worked together. He has a national TV show now and tells the whole country how amazing the Chiefs are so he is "A OKAY" in my book.

Oh, I agree. He unblocked me on twitter. No worries on my end. I love it how he gives it to Cowherd now. Good for him. He's actually pretty funny now.

He does bring up a good point.  If the Chiefs were to move to KS (I really don't think they would), they could totally get away with it as long as Mahomes is still here.  Nobody is going to quit Mahomes.

Oh for sure,

I think in Nick Wright's case he's gotta do some sematic posturing because why the eff not.

Like even the whole 300 section being a goddamn madhouse of Independence MO I don't think will change n the under sections of a KS side Chiefs. They'll just gas up their converted buses and come on over.

The idea of a Missourian being insulted because someone thought they were from KS is hilarious to me.

Anytime I meet someone new for business/vacation and they ask me where I'm from and I say Kansas City they have never once asked me if I was from Missouri or Kansas. To 90% of the people in this country KC is just a generic Midwest city in a flyover state that has a couple of sports teams.

What would we have to give up for Deebo Samuel? Too much probably?

Why would the Chiefs pay $70M for Deebo when they wouldn't pay that for Tyreek?

If you can get Deebo at around $22m (likely a discount compared to his open market value) and keep some of the Tyreek trade assets, I'd consider it.  I don't think that's possible though.  I also have concerns that Deebo was mad about how he was used in SF.  Maybe they put him in the backfield because they didn't trust Jimmy G to get him the ball enough as a WR, but I think some of his value is as a runner.  That flexibility can create a mismatch against a defense trying to decide if they need an LB or a corner on the field.

I think we can trade a lot less than the Deebo cost to get top 3 WR in this draft and have that player under contract at a much lower cap cost for 5 years, which is probably the preferable option for me.

Deebo is 2 years younger than Tyreek but I still don't think it will happen...but if it does I would be okay with it.

I'm sure Reid/EB could have all sorts of fun drawing up plays for him out of the backfield.

12 picks....I look forward to seeing what we will do to reduce those and get who we want.

Definitely do not hate the picks.  Now it's time to go after WR and more defense in rounds 2 and 3.

Yeah sounds like they didn't expect to even have a chance at McDuffie.  Seeing a lot of praise for the Greek Freak too but that might just be the pro-chiefs twitter crowd I follow.

Definitely want to see some WRs now

Biggest negative I've heard about Karlaftis is his short arms.   :dunno:

I've never heard of that charge.  It sounds like he did something to a GF/spouse/ex to be a pain in their ass.
