I feel the same way, but here is an interesting read on why they MIGHT handling things they way they are.  Essentially, they argue that by keep Pioli around right now, and simultaneously leaking that he may end up being fired, they are dangling him out there for any other team to snatch up, and thus prevent KC from having to pay Pioli in 2013.

Andy reid reminds me of oscar Weber to much....Nice record and accomplishments but has been crap the last couple of years.

Bold prediction- The chefs sign Alex Smith and Draft the tackle from Texas AM with the first pick. Then draft Landry Jones in the 3rd round. I get really angry and say F the chefs they are dead to me but then realize I only watched about 3 hrs of them total this season.

The NFL is a whole lot different than college in that most coaches do not have final say on who they get for their personnel. Andy Reid has shown that he is capable of taking a great team to the super bowl, and that is all that really matters. Nobody is going to be successful winning games in the NFL without a great team, and the Chiefs currently have a dogshit roster.
