New TV deal and packed stadiums next year should help with that.

Look, we have football Jesus slinging the rock for us the next 15+ years....Pay whatever you need in cash/draft picks to make sure he doesn't get Andrew Luck'd.

ben ji's trade grade - A++

I backpedaled a bit when I noticed the 2021 2nd rounder. It can still be a win for the chiefs too, but it makes it harder to fill other spots
Not really this year. We traded a 1st for a guaranteed good player at the biggest need spot, got a 2nd rounder for a 3rd and 4th. I like our odds of filling more spots this way.

That was a great trade.  We weren't drafting a pro bowl left tackle.

Brown's game fits to the Chiefs' strengths a lot more than the Ravens.  His pass blocking may go down slightly with a more pass-happy offense but he also has Thuney on his inside which will be a boost.  His run blocking will also likely improve with defenses expecting less run plays.  He's young and, provided we lock him up at some point, can build a relationship with Mahomes for a decade.  He said the right things about wanting to be a LT as a point of pride and that it's not about the money, which could be bullshit but at least shows he's smart about how he conducts himself.  I never thought the Ravens would trade him to the Chiefs without getting a 50% premium over what other teams were offering.

The late seconds should snag some contributors if not starters although I suspect the Chiefs will move at least one of the picks.

I am In Veach We Trust.  However, I was really hoping to add a veteran WR for a sweetheart I-want-a-ring deal, but maybe that still happens this summer.

Marshall

I haven't seen what the "red flag" was on him, but I saw where CBS said "Clearly some type of red flag for Marshall to fall this far."  I am still hopeful that we add another good aging possession WR to a sweetheart short term deal after roster cut backs this summer or before camp.
