For reference, when we traded Cassel, we also sent a 57 year old Mike Vrabel. It will likely be the equivalent of the Royals sending 3 million to the A's along with Moss, but the salary cap sport version.

The 2nd CB was easily the weakest spot on the team.
We just got a guy who vastly improves that spot. And we get a 3rd round pick. Just the trade part of the deal is good.

Factor in the salary implications and it's just freaking awesome. Smith and his 17M were never gonna be here. But we got a starting CB who will make under 1M each of the next 2 years.

KC has 2 3rd Rd picks. Will likely get another late 3rd Rd pick as compensation for losing Poe last year

Houston Kelce Hunt Fuller all were 3rd Rd picks BTW.
