Most Wanted is a nice mixer vodka.  Can switch to this once you kill a few Ketel or Gooses.

I've become a vodka person lately. Belvedere is by far the best I've had, but probably not worth the price. Chopin and Skyy have weird after tastes, both very different. Ketel One and Grey Goose both have the same mindset: have as little taste as possible. That's fine, that's what most vodka drinkers want. Rider Vodka is from the Dark Horse Distillery in Kansas City, and it is a wheat vodka. It has a significantly different taste than most vodkas, a very full sweet flavor. It's pretty cheap. Definitely worth checking out.

Russian Standard is the best I have ever had, discovered it when it went on sale at the liquor store by the movie theater in MHK a few years back.  If you try it and don't like it, well, then you don't like water and won't be alive much longer.

Guy I know claims that you can run crap vodka through a brita filter a couple times and it will taste like great vodka.  :dunno:

Mythbusters debunked that. Also, Blue Water is pretty fantastic, as is Silver Tree. Not saying they are absolutely the best on the market or anything but I'd put them against anything out there.

Stolichniya is a fantastic mid-range vodka. I like it as much as Skyy and almost as much as Ketel.

*edit - totally forgot to mention that Minski, etc is made by a company that had been producing booze for different mid level booze companies for years. They finally got smart and started selling their crap direct.
